Thanks to the Children of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor for their cheerful "get well" cards to Noah.
Greetings, Noah -- I just spoke with your mother yesterday and heard a capsule version of your incredible ordeal. I just wanted to say that you'll have some additional prayers. It is great to see the latest news and I'm glad to hear you'll be back engaged with med school. Be well, Noah.
Sincerely, Glen (Rainsley)
Hi Noah!
My mom just sent me the link to your site and while I see that you have come a long way – through treatment and on to recovery – I wanted to send my well wishes for your continued good health!!
Just so you know…I grew up in the same church as your mom, back on Long Island. Your grandparents were friends of my folks, Loyle & Joyce Egger. That seems like a lifetime ago J My husband and I have three grown daughters and three grandsons. A few years back, my husband Tom, had a heart attack, followed by a diagnosis of diabetes and then prostate cancer – the prostate cancer was the worst of all.
Tom and I know that your faith and strong spirit will help you as you recover from this ordeal. We know from experience that cancer, like heart disease, leaves its imprint long after the surgeries and the treatments. It changes how you see the world – and perhaps how the world sees you. Yet, with the love of family and friends, life can be more meaningful and rewarding from this day forward. The power of faith and prayer is an amazing strength that will ease your journey to recovery J

Warm Regards, Tom & Marsha Devine Marsha R Devine (nee Egger)
Noah and Team,
I would just like to express my encouragement to you and let you know that you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. I briefly met you once at Chris’ graduation party this past summer, and I was very sorry to hear from him a bit later that you had been diagnosed with Burkitt’s. I’m glad that you’ve pulled through this difficult time – it’s extremely courageous and admirable. Please let your family I said hello as well and I hope to see all of you the next time Chris invites people to your house. Good luck and God bless.

Noah!
Great to hear the news of your de-porting. Cheers -- tres aplausas in the tradition of Señor your 8th grade Spanish teacher -- went up in our kitchen as we read the recent entries..
You have a strong claim to accolade: "The Tom Brady of Burkitts Lymphona". My affinity for things Brazilian notwithstanding, I think your webmaster is much, much more of an asset than Gisela Bundschen is to the Patriots QB
We'll be thinking of you tomorrow night remembering Super Bowl XXXI @ Tracy Place 11 years ago. Even though Giants Stadium is virtually in the shadow of my birthplace [Hackensack NJ], I pretty much transferred my loyalty to the Redskins when Vince [a pretty good HS coach in Bergen Co NJ in the days of my youth] and I both came to Washington in the summer of '69. We wish you and the Pat's well in the quest for his trophy.
I wear my green Team Noah support bracelet daily and proudly and am proud to share its message of "strenght and courage" to inquirers. We pray for you every day too.
Hang in there. Paul Wackerbarth
Dear Noah, What a glorious climax to your lenghty ordeal---to know that the port has been removed at last---are there any plans being made to frame it??????
Your heroic strength and courage, bolstered by beloved family and friends, have made the wider circles so grateful and joyous!!!!!!!!! Happiness with the plans for the "dream holiday," the restoring of bodily strength, and of course, hair! Looking forward to seeing you around--------All my love, Gramma..
Hello,
My name is Michelle Macdonald, my little brother is Jason Macdonald Noah and Jason went skiing together and I used to go on your boat.
My mom contacted me today and told me about what happened with Noah, you probably do not remember me but I still wanted to write in because this has touched my heart, and if there is anything I can do to help please let me know
I got saved when I was 18 after moving to MA to attend Suffolk U and it changed my life forever, I never thought I would come to know God in the way that I have, or his grace and love.
I want you to know that no matter what God is here in this situation, we don’t know why things happen to people it seems unfair and wrong but through it all God has a plan, he is never out to harm us only to love us and get us to see him through the clouds of life.
He is the closest to you NOW, he is carrying you while you are unable to walk, let him. He will speak for you when you are too weak to talk, and he will hold you close to you to his heart when you feel lost.
I know you haven’t seen me or maybe don’t even know me, but I love you. I will keep you in my prayers, remember a mustard seed of faith can move mountains.
Love Always, Michelle
Hi Noah,
This is Mia Dyson. Although our lives are not linked as they were during our years together at Mid-Coast Church, I want you to know that we are thinking of you and holding you in our daily prayers. I am now pastoring a little church in South Freeport, Maine (your mom pastored there briefly at one point, too). Andy and Jeanie Bertocci/Barnard are now members of that congregation, which is a great joy to me. Andy remembers you in our prayers of the people each Sunday, so you are being prayed for and held in the hearts of all the good people at South Freeport Church.
I send you all our love and deep hope for your recovery and renewal.
With love from Mia, Kevin, Bryn, Tess, Liam, and Aidan Gallagher
Hi Noah!
I’m so glad to see that you’ve finished the chemo. Congratulations!
I’ve been thinking of you a lot lately – must be all the good vibes everyone is sending out for you.
I have faith that you will continue on the road to recovery with such strength and determination.
You’re amazing! Keep up the good work!
Darcy

Hey Noah! We think of you everyday and are thrilled you've reached the end of round 7! We've been wanting to send you a photo but haven't had all of us together until now.
All our love, Jack, Cindy, Scott, Ross and Keeper
Hey Noah -- almost there! What a great picture of your Dartmouth classmates -- a big group, but just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the folks cheering you on. Your name comes up frequently in conversations around Harpswell. (For instance, at the McGovern household , where Howard was helping Kevin and the guys maneuver a new boat into the garage last Sunday. It was quite a sight -- crowbars, rolling bars, icy driveway, an inch or two to spare between boat and doorframe -- but they managed with only a few bruises and a little cursing.) We're all thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Kathy, Howard & Anna Sylvester
Dear Noah, We can't wait to see you, hope the cold is over soon , Sam just got back from Cancun and thinks you should add it as a stop over on your dream vacation! Hope all is going well, we miss you and are looking forward to skiing with you soon! Love Aunt Alice, Uncle Lew, Ben, Samantha and Jack
Hi Noah!
I had the great pleasure of meeting a member of your family today and she gave me permission to contact you! I learned how wonderful you are, with many supporting stories right down to your preschool days…including something about picketing the lack of school bus seat belts? Anyway, I had to write because my daughter is a Burkitt’s survivor. She is now 10 years post treatment.. She was diagnosed with BL with an additional leukemia diagnosis due to the spread to her bone marrow,.on July 16th of 1997, you know, just after the new residents arrive, yikes! On August 29th she was in remission but had the continued trial of chemotherapy through to January 1998. Rebecca was the 1998 “Slugger’s Kid” with the Portland Sea Dogs, I’m sure you recall her very talented commercial performance with Norm Karkos. We had a battle, as you well know; so many blood products, so many “uncomfortable” procedures and a few complications including an outbreak of “shingles” on half of her little bald head. Her chemo course included some of the medications you listed but some were different. She now goes for testing only once a year and nothing too invasive…just blood work, ultrasounds, echocardiograms and occasional CT scans without the contrast dye, monitoring various organs for health post all the chemo!
I have learned a few things. One thing, if you meet someone with the last name of Burkitt, you might try to resist saying “Oh, like the lymphoma?” Apparently, the Burkitt clan prefers to associate themselves with something else. Also, I’m sure you are an excellent consumer, but definitely keep track of the medications and dosages no matter who administers them.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. In our church we light candles and I will light a special one for your mother!!
Love, Ruth Stevenson
Hey Noah,
My mother just today told me about you and showed me her new TeamNoah bracelet. I have also been forced to send my message with hers, as opposed to denying any known connection with the person who wrote the note above. I hope her mistake upon meeting someone named ‘Burkitt’ makes you laugh as much as it made me. I enjoyed your website-it made me laugh too. I especially liked your eloquent opening phrase. That is precisely the sentiment which is required to get past it. And I know it sucks, and is painful, and long, and hard, and just to add insult to injury, the very treatment that cures you makes your hair fall out. (My hair actually ended up growing back a different color!) But it sounds like you’ve almost beaten that damn cancer and also that you will not put up with a slow recovery to health and strength. The fact that you are a Red Sox fan and the picture of you on Tuckerman’s Ravine(for skiing?) convinces me that you are steadfast, strong of will, courageous, and possibly not entirely sane. All excellent qualities which will pull you through, along with the help of the obvious amount of support you have. I’d wish you luck, Noah, but I think it would be entirely unneccessary.
Also, in future, if you can casually slip into conversation that you are a cancer survivor, people are generally disposed to be amazingly kind. Get well soon, Noah.
Rebecca Stevenson
Dear Noah, Sarah, Russ, & Christopher,
I want to wish you a peaceful and joyous holiday, filled with hope. As always, you are all in my prayers.

Okay, Noah, the webmaster has to put in her 2 cents ... You KNOW I've never wished against a snow day in my 60 years, but I'm praying that UNE will NOT have a snow day tomorrow so your girlfriend can get to NH without further delay. Love you lots and we're ALL praying for you every day. Sue (wishes do come true)
Noah, we love you and keep praying for you, especially at this Christmas time. We are confident your whole family will be together in love whenever you can all celebrate Christmas together – hopefully in your wonderful home in Boothbay Harbor.
Love, Jackie and Pete
PS. Even Willie is used to me feeding him now!!

Noah- Its been a while since we rode your green flip out chair down your parents stairs and crashed into the couch below. I just wanted to say happy belated birthday, and that I and every one at Emerald Builders (John Deans and Rachel Murphy) wish you the very best. K.T.S.O.O.B.L* so you can get back to shreddin' powder on those two planks of yours.
Very best, Reggie

Hi Noah,
Barely under the wire at this hour, but we wanted to send you one more Happy Birthday wish and hope that the coming year will be a major turn around for you with great progress and total extinction of the cancer.
If perchance you are a Navy fan, you must have been delighted with Saturday’s game (though I personally found it very depressing). However, if Navy’s winning by such a margin is a parable of of what your treatment is doing to Burkitt’s, then I will even concede and not even begrudgingly accept Army’s defeat this year (once more!!!)
Hope you had a good day. We are with you in thoughts and prayers.
Peace, grace & love, Bob & Judy Dent
Happy birthday, Noah! The snow must make you more anxious than ever to make that wonderful trip to Jackson Hole—The whole church is waiting to see the pictures of you posed on top of the trail. You’re an inspiration to our teenagers even if they think 25 is really old! Ginny Conn, East Boothbay
Hi Noah,
We are continuing to check the website and we are praying hard – your Mom’s prayer is so comprehensive, so that’s what I try to pray. So yesterday we were all sitting at Mid-Coast, and I was next to Christian. I looked at his wrists, and didn’t see his green bracelet. Where’s your ‘Noah bracelet’ I whispered. He smiled and lifted up his pant leg and there it was – around his ankle. His look said, ‘got it covered, Mom’, ‘all over it Mom’, ‘under control, Mom’ – so – that’s the message for you today – we’re ALL all over it. I wish that we could take turns going into the hospital for you, having needles poke us instead of you, feel crappy instead of you having to feel it. But we can’t… but know that we are thinking of you every day, praying and sending good thoughts. I send a huge hug (because I know from experience how much nice young men like you like to receive hugs from middle-aged women!)- and lots of love,
Sheri, Paul, Christian, Benjamin and Aaron Nadell

Hey Noah!
It's Elizabeth Wilcox. I just wanted to send you a message to let you know i'm thinking of you. Many, many people are thinking of you in fact. So just hang in there, you can do it!! I know that for sure.
Once it is all over you will become a doctor and can help hundreds of people in similar situations to yourself. That's pretty awesome. And let me say, you will be a great doctor someday after having the first hand experience of what it's like to be the patient! Sacrificing mind and body to become a good doctor...you ARE dedicated! Haha.
So just keep working through this, and stay positive because it's all going to be over soon! Take care of yourself and know you are a wonderful person. I wear my TeamNoah bracelet everyday! All of us Wilcox's have one and we're all rooting for you!
So, have fun in that hospital and don't cause too much trouble! Get better soon and stop making those doctors work so hard! Haha, you know i'm kidding. Just know you are thought of all the time and that I wish the best of luck to you. You're doing great! You WILL be better soon!
Have a happy holiday season. -Beth

Hello - I found a picture of Noah as a toddler in Wilmington, Delaware. My name is Linda Wardell and I babysat Noah on occasion. Sarah Foulger was the minister at my church, Limestone Presbyterian Church.
My family, Kate and Wes, and the church are all praying for Noah and his family. I thought the picture might bring some smiles.
Sincerely,
Linda Wardell
Dear Noah: Our positive thoughts & prayers are with you always. Know that there are several prayer groups that are also joining in with positive prayers and thoughts each day. Love, The Lebel's Reggie, Terry, Rose, Reggie M and Rachel Murphy too.

Noah:
Here's a picture from on high to match yours on your website. I am up near the Continental Divide in the Wind River Range in Wyoming, a mountain range Ellen and I manage to visit at least every couple of years. Nothing like the mountains.
I heard about your lymphoma from Chris, when I saw him last week at a Mt. Ararat function. I am so sorry. But I know you are strong and that you have lots of love and support. Including mine. Be well.

Here is a photo we took in Virginia today (11/4) with friends and family. Georgia Ireland (from Boothbay, ME) is hugging one of her granddaguhters, Shelby Ireland, Her sister Ashley is right behind her, beside their father, Georgia's Son Mark Ireland. Their Mother Deb Ireland is kneeling on front. I am in the rear. The others are friends of Mark's from the Richmond VA Area. We brought down green bracelets for the family, and are wearing them. All the others heard about Noah and send their prayers and good wishes.
The news sounds good and we hope and pray that Noah's recovery continues to go well.

Hi Noah--
Talked to your grandparents the other night and heard of the battle you are now waging. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Noah, great news from your Oncologist today, we think of you constantly – lets aim for a get together either at the Bowdoin – Colby football game in November or a Hockey game this winter! Go BOWDOIN!!! Love and strength, Jackie and Pete
Hi Noah,
As I look out the window and see the colors of the changing leaves and a new season blowing in, it is mind boggling how much has happened in the past 8 weeks! New challenges and experiences, seasons always bring these things. Yeah, alot is going on with you, alot of change, challenges etc.. (that we know you didnt ask for!) but please remember that you hold an inner strength that few people possess. Knowing that whatever comes your way will one day just be a memory of lifes challenges. You are truly being asked to put your best foot forward right now and find a strength inside of you that you may not have known that you possessed but listen! IT IS THERE and you are never allowed to forget that, no matter how frustrating and painful this is for you. I just wanted you to know that we never stop thinking of you and even when we get so bogged down with work and life, please remember our support is right by your side. STRENGTH AND COURAGE !!!!!KTSOOBL!!!! WOOWOO!!! Love you more, Aunt Alice

Hi Noah:
Ever since your Grandma told me of your fight, you haven’t been far from my thoughts. You’ve walked beside the Pacific Ocean and in old growth forests; you’ve cruised the waters up to Alaska and watched the whales cavorting. I’ve never met you and haven’t seen your Mum and Dad since the early 1980’s, but that doesn’t make you any less special to me. My son Steve and his newly qualified nurse fiancée Shannon join me in sending you all of our love and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Cousin Barbara, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Noah – I send extra healing thoughts your way every time I get a piece of mail with your name on it (even if it’s an advertisement piece…well…er…actually if it’s on one of those, I give an extra extra extra reflection – for a variety of reasons). Ah but I digress… I am Irene, the Postmaster of the small in stature but huge in charm and made all the more interesting by fanciful clients (like your parents) West Boothbay Harbor Post Office. May the ‘force’ be with you! And STAMP OUT you know what!! Peace and sunshine my friend, Irene
Adrienne & Meg Meghan Barringer and Adrienne LeClair, Colby friends of Noah and Sarah from Colby walked in honor of Noah in the Light the Night walk in Hartford, on October 4. Funds raised through Light The Night Walk support the work of hundreds of the world’s best and brightest researchers in their search for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Meg and Adrienne made the decision to join the walk the week before the event and raised nearly $1300. Said Meg "all the supporters carried red balloons, all the survivors carried white balloons, and all the balloons had lights in them, so it looked really cool with a night time walk with everyone's balloons lit up."

Noah- From all I read it sounds like you are doing great with the “Big Guns” of chemo. Never be too very discouraged with neutropenia, that means its working! I am sure between you and all your smart doctor friends can figure out when you need treatment. If you ever, ever have any questions please email or call me. I would love to pass on anything I can to make you more comfortable. You are in the thoughts and prayers of my family every day. Hang in there, you are taking the rough road with courage and grace. Best Wishes- Rebecca Sinclair & Family
Dear Noah, Chris, Russ, Sarah,
Since hearing of your illness I have sent many positive thoughts your way. Between the latest innovations in treatment and the tremendous faith of your family I know there will be a positive outcome.
Best Regards Bob Crane
Hi Noah,
So glad you were able to go to Sarah's White Coat Ceremony at UNE. That is so fantastic! That must have been so special for both of you.
Hope this new round of chemo goes well for you. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Bob Judy Dent
Dear Noah --
What a great website!
I haven't met you but feel I know you from your web site. I know your mom as I am an Episcopal priest in Boothbay Harbor. And I was one of the volunteers who went over to your parents' home when it was being built and I actually put paint on the walls of your room.
Have you ever seen a butterfly glide? I saw one today - it was actually soaring. Irene Reilly (WBH Postmarm) and I rescued it from a spider's web. May you continue to soar upward to a strong and vibrant health.
Prayers and Blessings and Love to YOU. Greta Russell+
Noah, they need you back! Even Bowdoin might beat them this year! Maybe you will be able to come to the game! Pete Mundy –BOWDOIN 53!!!
Dear Noah: Way to go...as a Waterville native, I have to say that the old Colby spirit comes in handy sometimes. (Even if, as a townie in the 60's, I never even thought of going to Colby - my parents both went there, and I couldn't wait to go further away.) Anyhoo...the news about your swift comeback is fantastic. There will be another small surprise coming to you from Juliana Cliffe (her husband, Rick, knows your dad from BIW). There's also some light (ver-r-r-y light) reading material in your mom's basket at the church...I love cartoon books, and thought you might, too. You are constantly in our prayers, as is your family...keep it up. Peace, and Love, Carol Cragin

Hi Noah,
Last night (9/28) at the Mt. Ararat football game, David Johnson told me the unbelievable news about your disease. I couldn't believe it and kept asking him if he was sure. He must be wrong, I told him. Noah is too young. He assured me he was right and steered me to the website that he said your girlfriend Sarah had set up. I have read everything today on your site. I love the daily progress reports and all the words of encouragement. I wonder if Darcy at Roller World is the Darcy from Bailey Island who went to Bates with Brett. I have such fond memories of your four years at MTA. I remember you coming in after school from your Spanish class to talk to Brett and
Andrew your sophomore year. I would often listen to your conversation and I told other teachers you were my "Boys to Men" club members because I had the privelege of watching you grow up. Your senior year
you and Brett did that wonderful Survivor skit in the variety show. That may have been a sign of the the survivor you will be now over Burkitt's Lymphoma. I loved watching you play football and be such a postive role model for others. I loved your wonderful leadership skills as president of NHS. Your great spirit for hockey was and is legendary still today. You, Andrew and Brett set a mark that few people have even come close to today. All these wonderful qualities will stand you in good stead as you fight this disease. The Red Sox winning their division last night has got to be another lucky sign. Maybe their spirit will help you or maybe your spirit is helping
them. Either way it is all good.
My warmest regards, thoughts and prayers go out to you, Sarah, your mom and dad, Chris and Courtney. I hope soon to hear that those golf games are continuing and your residence is just around the cornor.
Wishing you a great recovery! Fondly-Frau Libby

Keep up the Great Work: Dear Noah,
You seem to be holding your own after several treatments –I know it can be tough at times, but know there are so many people praying for you,the family, and Sarah. I know you feel the love and encouragement sent from all who know and love you.
God’s Blessings, Mrs. Louise Owens

Hi Noah,
We heard about your illness and immediately went to the website – LOVE the theme….We KNOW you can beat this, but are bummed you have to deal with it. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. When I think of you and Chris, I think of quiet strength. I remember you guys sitting in the back of the church, Mom in the pulpit, Dad in the choir. And now, two of my boys, Christian and Benjamin have taken your seats along the back side wall, legs spread out long, (or elbows of their knees, depending upon the sermon) – I have always looked to your awesome parents as role models on how to raise amazing sons – I hope Paul and I can do as wonderful a job, because you and Chris are superb people. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will win the battle. Please know that we send positive, healing energy to you. We’ll keep checking the website for your progress and victory…you hang in there….you can and will beat it.
Our love to you,
Sheri Nadell – and Paul, Christian, Benjamin and Aaron – Brunswick, ME

Prayer for Us All
Dear God,
In all honesty, I do not like cancer or chemo. I struggle daily with the implications and side effects. But never once have I felt the temptation to blame you for this struggle because I know that you are a loving God.
I am truly grateful for all the people who are helping me: lab workers, nurses, oncologists, family, friends, and work colleagues. I have discovered a vast new resource of people through whom you dispense your grace.
Save me from bitterness, impatience, and negativity. Keep me focused on healing, hope, and wholeness. I have a career to finish, grandchildren to love, and a wife to take on trips.
Teach us all the urgent importance of helping one another as much as we can. We all need a touch of compassion from time to time.
When we are tempted to fail, serve as our solid rock. When we are tempted to do less than our best, invest us with a renewed spirit of obedience. When we are tempted to compromise our faithfulness, alert us again to our call to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow you.
Remind us over and over, Lord, that life, whether it be short or long, is gift. Our job is to autograph it with excellence. Amen.
Noah

LOVE & PEACE PAT
Dear Noah,
Greetings from the north coast…Cleveland that is. The land of second rate seafood, sports teams, and industry-induced sunsets that glow through the haze of steel mills.
First and foremost, know that you and yours are in the constant thoughts and prayers here with Nona, Christopher and me. We are filling your place with positive energy, hope-filled words, and endless prayers for strength and courage. May the love that comes from the cloud of witnesses who have come to know and love you surround and support you in this time of challenge and struggle.
One quick story. When we first met you were five and I was a few weeks out of college. I pulled up into you driveway sight unseen from New Jersey via Virginia to work in Brunswick, and would be staying at your place for several weeks until I could find a place to live. No sooner had I pulled up the parking brake than you came running up to the car to welcome me to your home. You proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions about where I was from, and how long I would be staying with you. Then you asked if I wanted to play frisbee for a little while before dinner.
I will never forget the hospitality, energy, enthusiasm and glee with which you greeted and welcomed me.
And now I know that these are the very same qualities that will deliver you through this time. And I know that for years to come these are the very same qualities that you will continue to share with family, friends, patients…and even complete strangers who arrive at your doorstep.
May God bless you. May you know strength, comfort, and rest in these days. Most of all, may you know…
Peace,
Andy Jacob, Nona Holy and Christopher
Angels
Hi Noah,
The Navy's Blue Angels flew over the town where you grew up last weekend.
We're banking on your flying high and doing all kinds of stunts in due time.
In the meantime, our hope and prayer is that you will be able to take each step at a time and that the power of God's healing presence will lift you up when things are tough and energize you when you need to take off and put you into flight where you can fire off some winning rounds against the cancer that has attacked you.
Hang in there and know that many thoughts and prayer hover around you.
Love, Bob & Judy Dent
Dear Noah: Hi, I am Bruce Waters along with my wife Marion, and it is our extreme pleasure to be hosting your parents at our house in Hanover. If it gets a little to hectic over at Woodmore, feel free to come over for a change in venue once in a while.....plenty of bedrooms, food and drinks in the refrigerator...along with the Red Sox on NESN all day long.

As I travel all over town, I bump into people that know of your struggle and are praying and hoping for a speedy recovery. You have made a strong impact on the Hanover and Upper Valley community and you should take solace that you are not alone. My dearest friend, Dr. Joe O'Donnell, has given us inspiration over the years, and expresses his true optimism and is inspired regarding the care and treatment you are receiving. With all of our best wishes, Bruce and Marion Waters.
Noah, I love you , I hope all is good, think about you all the time. My football team is amazing this year and we have won all the games but one. We lost to the team that went to Florida last year by one point. We are ranked number 2! We are going to fight to be number one, just like you! Jack Pulliam (the cute one)
Noah, Just wanted you to know that you are daily in our prayers and in the prayers of the members of the Bow Lake Baptist Church in Strafford, NH. We are asking God to give you victory over this disease and breakthrough information for treatment and prevention that will help others. Your cousins, Davis and Carolyn Clarke
Keep up the golf. Maybe your father needs a bigger handicap!! Be strong and lots of love every day.
Jane Hurd and Roger Severance

Hi Noah,
Hey, congratulations on beating your Dad at Golf. I do feel badly for Russ :-(, but I am delighted for you. :-).
We're counting on your using the same winning techniques to beat the cancer, too.
Hang in there. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
Love, Bob & Judy Dent

Hi Noah, It was our great pleasure to catch up with you again this past summer after so many years. Noah,
Though we know you only through your Mom and Dad, we think of you daily. We hope that the strength of your young age, along with the great care you are getting, and the support of all who know and love you will see you through this phase of your life's journey. Please know that our positive thoughts
are out there, along with many others, every day. May they buoy you up as you go through the chemo and into the healing time beyond.

Noah- Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family during this rough time. I also wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. As a child you were always a very intelligent boy with a great smile. When saw your picture on the web site, I just saw that little boy who I used to tuck in at night. Your loving spirit and caring soul have carried you to the right profession. You will make a wonderful doctor.. and your family very proud. As a nurse who takes care of chemo patients, I would suggest to always tell them when you are in pain or are nauseous. We have medications for that!! And remember, we like to do all of those “unpleasant things” it is our job. My family and I are thinking and praying for you every day!!! Rebecca Sinclair
Noah,
I have often been told, when life hands u lemons, make lemonade. Being the strong person I know u r, I believe you will prevail and end up with a chain of lemonade stands. My prayers r with u! God Bless.

Dear Noah,
Noah I am not sure you remember me, but I know you since you were a little guy. I watched you grow into the wonderful man you are. Grandma keeps me updated on all your achievements and accomplishments. Both grandma and grandpa were so very proud of you when they learned you were entering Med School. I must say I was also proud of you! I remember how wonderful your mom and dad were to me when my husband and grandchild were ill. I hope you feel the same love and support from me as I did from them and all the members of Mid-Coast Church. I pray for you and your family as well as Sarah each and every day.
With Love and Prayers,
Mrs. Louise Owens, Mid Coast Presbyterian Church
Good luck Noah. Keep your chin up, and remember many persons are praying for you.
Sincerely Yours,

Noah -

I was thinking you should reconsider the medical leave thing... I believe that you are going through the ultimate "medical school," and given your understanding of the science and your compassion for and faith in people, this experience is going to prepare you in such a powerful way to help others when you begin your practice. In fact, if you are taking names for that practice-to-be, I was wondering if you might add Lu's and mine near the top... If you'll be practicing quasi-geriatric medicine in the mid-coast Maine area, that is... ;-}

So in fact, I think perhaps you should consider a conversation with your Dean in which you suggest that you take this experience for credit as a class one might call "KTSOOBL 345" with a description along the lines of, "This course is an intense, hands-on set of practical experiences in which students, practicing physicians, family, and friends work collaboratively to, colloquially speaking, kick the living daylights out of Burkitt's Lymphoma. Prerequisites include firmly established access to a strong and committed family, friends who care deeply, a cracker-jack team of physicians and other specialists, with love, intellect, and prayers flowing freely from all of the above."

Seems to me you have the prerequisites covered, so go get 'em, Noah! Our love and prayers are with you.

Dear Noah!
One of my favorite authors is Bernie Siegel MD and he quotes the following poem

"Hope" is the thing with feathers —
That perches in the soul —
And sings the tune without the words —
And never stops — at all —— Emily Dickinson

Just know our thoughts and prayers are with you as you KTSOOBL, Medicine needs you and oh how lucky your patients will be!! Love to all your family and know the Colby troops are being rallied as well! fondly Kathy and Rory Murphy

Cheeers for Noah from Tennessee! Like everyone else at Mid-Coast we enjoyed watching you and Chris grow up -- from the time you were little guys until you became very special young men. Please know that our thoughts and prayers and love are right there with you and will continue to be there at least until we learn that you are OK. We're proud to be members of TEAM NOAH. Right on! Noah, this is what the girls do when you ask them to make a funny face. They MEAN well! Don't let them scare you too much. We're all sending healthy vibes to you. Miss you lots! Bob, Sue, Stu and all the girls.

Noah, she may not win the "critter catching award" like Willy, but we think she deserves the "pretty purrfect" prize! Lo-Tsen sends her love along with ours! Jackie and Pete
Noah,
Chris just sent me the website, which I read completely. The picture of you looks like you are on the top of Everest (I never taught your class Into Thin Air, but it's a good read and I use it now.) The picture is absolutely spectacular. Are you out West?
The picture at the Red Sox game was , hmmm, well, cute of you and the Sarahs, but you were in the wrong park (not Chicago is what I mean) and since I'm still a White Sox fan, I couldn't cheer you on :) But, I must admit it looks like a good year for your team!! Do you still have the ball I gave you so many years ago? If so, squeeze it tightly.
Letter coming from me soon.
I can't believe how much you and Chris look alike. He stopped in last week at school (yes, I am still teaching even though I have now signed up for Medicare.....which Chris reminded me about).
I think of you daily.....with love and good wishes. You'll be back making rounds next year.
Janet
Noah and all who love, Please know that you are all held in our hearts with special love and prayers.

Dear Noah,Moose Dun
My husband Jim and I think and talk and pray about you every day. We send you love and strong wishes for success as you begin your treatment. May progress be swift and your recovery complete! So, who are we? Just two among the many who have followed with interest and admiration your career path and achievements of recent years. We feel we know you although you would have no particular reason to distinguish us from other parishioners and friends of your fine family. I hope you're a dog lover because we're sending along a photo of our 6 year-old black lab, who embodies the love, loyalty, and strength that we are trying to convey. Doreen and Jim Dun
Go get them, Noah. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family each day.

Dear Noah,
As your mom probably already told you, my father-in-law, Horace Cragin, from East Lempster, whom you helped at Dr. Wolf's, asked me to pass on to you his prayers and wishes for your recovery. You have folks behind-above-below-and with you from all around the country...Portland OR, Minneapolis, Lempster NH, Newport NH, Goshen NH, Boothbay Harbor, Bath...Catholics, Methodists, animists, Congregationalists, Lutherans, and not-sure's praying for you. So, whenever you need it, we are here! In the next few weeks, there will be a few surprises sent to you...just a minor expression of our love, faith, and hope for you.
Peace, Carol Cragin
Hi, Noah. Just want you to know how much we think about you and your family each day. You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. In fact you have all kinds of people in many different states praying for you and cheering you on. Great things can happen with either prayer or medicine. But when both are combined there is a powerful force at work for healing. Love, Bob & Judy Dent
Noah- with constant thoughts and prayers….we will never let you feel alone…we will be strong with you…we will be courageous with you…we will never leave your side…we will always be here for you…FOREVER….
Uncle Lew, Aunt Alice, Ben, Samantha and Jack
We are behind you all the way with Love and prayers. Jackie and Pete (Mundy)
